Tired

Mrs Tay, I really that many Singaporeans are undergoing a lot of stress. You shouldn't take your self too harsh.

Birthday Cake

Yes Mrs Tay, I think that the picture in the birthday cake really looks like you. Did you know Mrs Tay that I was born in the same month as you? I was born on the 28th of August. That cake really looks like it was profesionally made by expert hands! My dad ordered a present for me from America and it's coming in a parcel. It is something to do with my hobby, Fine scale modelling, which I mentioned earlier and I cannot wait for it to arrive. I think Mrs Tay, you really enjoyed celebrating your birthday judging from the two scrumptious looking cakes that you've got. Me and Matthias are born on the same day, in the same hospital NUH. Whem I came into the class on the 28th, I was greeted with shouts of "Happy Birthday!". I got a shock because I didn't want to tell anyone about my birthday. Actually, Matthias told the whole class about it before I came in. During dinner, my family and I went to celebrate at Swensens. We had a quiet birthday song because I didn't want anybody to know that It was My birthday. Then I realised that there was another boy who had a birthday celebration. He bought the same food as me and I predicted that anybody who is born on the 28th have the same thoughts in mind. I really had a great celebration!

What I'm Thankful For

I'm thankful for having a house to live in. There are many people in the world that are homeless that live on streets. I really feel sad for them and I want to help them some day. I'm thankful for having two dearest parents to love and take care of me. In Singapore, orphanages are set up to house the orphans. Those children have no parents to educate and raise them. Some don't even know their parents since they were young. I'm thankful for having education so that I can get a good secondary school then move on to colledge and finally university to get a good job.Unlike the women in ancient greece who did not go to school instead, they stayed at home. I'm thankful for having a younger brother. When I was three, I could still remember that I had no brother and life at that time was very quiet and boring because I had nobody to talk to except my parents. Now that he's here, I feel more joyous as he fills the house with laughter . I'm thankful to God for everything that I have.

Dear Mrs Tay,

There are many places wich I like. But there is one place that I realy like. It is the Tokyo Disney Land in Japan. That is where I really enjoyed myself most. There were many excitig rides there like E.T. and many others. I went to Japan during winter. I like winter because it makes me feel cooling and comfortable. When I was there, all the words, shows and instructions were all in japanese. At the E.T ride, it was quite fun as we could sit on bicycles and just enjoy the sites as it resembles the cable car. It's just like a pulley that brings you around. My family and I had soo much fun! Then over there, my family and I thought of trying out the ride in the haunted house. At first,my younger brother started bawling away because at that time,he was scared as he was only four. Finaly hestopped after I consoled him. I had such great fun there that the memory of it remained ethed in my memory for a long time.
Dear Mrs Tay,

Malacca is rich in the Peranakan culture. The Bibiks and Babas have a rich heritage there. I love Peranakan food. They are yummy. The chendol is to die for.It is generously laden with the ultra delicious and ultra unhealthy coconut milk and gula melaka. Such cholesterol laden dessert is difficult to find in Singapore. In Singapore the best chendol is in Bedok at a stall named "Hollywood". A botak man serves all customers with a big friendly smile. When I eat the chendol, I would feel very sleepy after that. I would be completely immobilised. This botak man's chendol is best eaten when you have just sat for a stressful test. The chendol would drug you and send you into a long restful sleep.
Dear Mrs Tay,

My family and I fell in love with Japanese food and the Japanese culture when we visited the country a year ago. The Japanese have high standards of discipline and they always aim for quality work.We should emulate them. In Disneyland I noticed that all the baby strollers were parked symmetrically. each parent would park the stroller in a very disciplined fashion. So the rows of strollers were positioned in neat and impossibly straight lines. How amazing! On top of that , the japanese are also honest people. Bikes need not be chained up because no one steals them. That's again another amazing fact about the people of japan. They are honest, through and through.
Dear Mrs Tay,

You wouldn't believe it.The last time my family and I were at Equitorial Hotel in Malacca, the entire basement carpark was packed with Singapore cars. This time when we arrrived, there were none. Our car was the only one from Singapore. What happened to all the Singaporeans? The H1N1 virus really frightened everyone. Even the Malaysians seemed to prefer to stay safe at home. My family had the entire swimming pool, the Japanese restaurant, the Peranakan restaurant and the Cafe Bar to ourselves. And guess what Mrs Tay, we had the entire Eye On Malaysia to ourselves!

Dear Mrs Tay,

My dad could not clear leave at any other time except the 31st of May. So that morning we packed all our things and headed for malacca. When we arrived at the second link,I was taken aback. There was an eerie silence. There was no jam. There were only 3 cars. We cleared the immigration in less than 5 minutes. Evrything was strangely quiet. When we hit the highway, the same thing happened, There were hardly any Singapore cars. We felt a liitle scared. Johor is known to be crime-infested. If our car broke down, there would be no Singapore cars to hail for help. We finally arrived in malacca in less than 3 hours. It was a smooth journey.

Hunger

In some countries like Africa, there are many people or even children who die because of starvation. Not only on person dies because of starvation, but hundreds of them die. In some countries, the government sends food donated by the citizens to the poor countries by air. If I were one of them, I would be in high spirits whem I get the food. If I witness the children eating the food, I would feel very sorry for them as they eat as though they have not eaten for many days. The cause of dying from starvation is when the children do not eat, they will not grow muscles. Muscles give them energy to move to one place to another. Thus they cannot get food They can only crawl or lie on the ground. The worst sight of all is when they are going to die. They helplessly lie on the ground. Vultures and Hyenas gather around the starving child. Then it would be a feast for them.

Dear Mrs Tay,

Yes it is true that creativity is something that is inborn and can never be thought. Everybody is different. Imagine an artist like Van Gogh. His paintings had a different style than other artists. His style was using strokes.Van Gogh was born with it.Nobody can master the exact way that Van Gogh painted.Even I can't do it.My father has a tallent in drawing. He can draw realistic pictures without refering to any books. This is an inborn tallent. Very few people has this ability.
Dear Mrs Tay,

Courtesy means being polite to someone. Every Monday when I take the taxi when I go back from school,I always greet the taxi driver even before I tell them where I want to go.However, some Singaporeans have hatred among people. They behave rudely to other people even though people don't disturb them. These people are I'll mannered. I think that Singaporeans have to learn the correct attitude and behaviour towards other people.Frankly speaking, I don't see courtesy being used around me because people don't speak to each other.Drivers don't give way to others on the road. Some people don't give up their seats especialy in the MRT when there is a person is sitting on his seat. Then he sees an old women who just came into the coach. The person will pretend to sleep so that he doen not need to stand like the old women. Some poeple have good behaviour. Now thats exelent.Singaporeans should have good behaviour towards others. This makes other people from other coutries think that Singapore is a great place to like in.

dear mrs Tay,

I went to Changi Village Hotel. It was really great .I stayed there for three days two nights .On the first day,we checked in .It took 40 minutes. After that,we went for a swim. There is a roof-top swimming pool.It was a really beautiful one.I got a little dit taned.Changi Airport was nearby so I saw many planes flying by and one of them was the Airbus A380.Pulau ubin and Tekong were visible from our room.My family and I went to the saltwater cafe on the second night and the three mocktails that we had were delicious except the rod-hot sea mocktail that was very very sour!
On our last day,we went for the third swim. This time, there was a wedding at the pool so it had to be empty by two before the wedding started. We didn't have enough time to swim but we were going to check out so we went back to our room.An hour later,we departed from Changi Village Hotel. It was really an exciting March holiday with my Family.

Actually there is a yes and a know answer. My answer would be no because you can't be liking something that is not part of your family.I like my family very much because I came from it.I represent it.A diamond does not come from my family.Gems are'nt part of of it too.In fact, gems isn't a living thing.I will not be guided without my family.Families are united.Without it,I would not exist at all.I would not be born.Imagine if I have no family,I will not be going to school,my life would be boring,I will not have fun,I would not have anything to do!I will not have money to survive to buy at least some food and a drink.A family is just so much more better than a piece of diamond or gem.

I always wanted to do many things in my life too.I'd always had no time to do them.I 've always not wanted to get sick, have a serious accident like being paralyzed, not to get into trouble with Mrs David.I've always wanted to do something great like inventing some new technology that will change the world into a better place, wanted to float in the air like in space.I've always dreamt to change the mode of transportation since wheels spin, how can it be changed other than magnetism?I've always dreamt to experience cold temperatures. Some of them were achieved. But there are of course many more things that I've dreamt of.

Dear Mrs Tay,

I realy enjoyed myself during my p5 camp.My favorite activities are the height elements. However, the Rockwall was a little tricky for me.Apsailing was easy.I heard that in the NS,instead of walking backwards,it is walking foreward down the wall! When I was in the A hut,I knew there was no air conditioner. But it does not matter as long as there is a fan. When I touched the wooden platform,I did not complain because I knew I wanted to experience a new environment.During the canpfire,I was excitied to hear other group's cheer.I love p5 camp.

cheers,
Faiz

Dear Mrs Tay,

My hobby is Fine scale modelling.Modelling is all about building minature aircrafts, tanks, cars, ships, figures or boats. All these minatures can be made out of plastic or metal. These minatures can be measured in length. The measurement is called scale. An example of a scale is 1/48 or 1/35.The models are assemdled then painted with an airbrush.

yours truly,

Faiz
